Zoom-ing Piano Player

   I was invited to my first Zoom piano recital today and I cannot tell you how proud of was of this third grade gnomie!  She played beautifully and with such poise!  I am so very proud of you! Do you think you can teach me a song or two?

Reading Challenge During Our Time Away

I posted a reading challenge onto Google Classroom.... as you complete squares, send me pictures and we will keep a scrapbook here!  I know it's not the same as hanging out with each in the classroom, but at least we can still see each other this way!

I am loving that I still keep getting photo updates from your homes!  I think the only thing that would make my heart happier would be to hear that we can return to school and see each other in person.  In the mean time, we are safest at home and I will continue to post pictures as they arrive in my email mailbox!  Keep on reading Gnomies - your brains are growing by leaps and bounds!

To my students: 

   I'm so excited to spend the year with you! You are certain to not only learn and grow, but you will have a great time doing so!  I have been busy preparing for a great year and I can't wait to see you in a few short days!  Get some rest, read one last book this vacation, and be ready to hit the ground running!

   The start of a school year is always full of such mixed emotions - excitement that school is back in session, and sometimes a little anxiety that your child has grown another year older!  I assure you that I will take wonderful care of your child this school year and we will make it a memorable year.  Please promise me that you will reach out to me so that we can work through the days together.  In fact, send me a message using the side tool real quick, to let me know you visited our website.
